In Rye town centre on this hot bank holiday Monday, I found a little, nondescript moth, less than 2 cm across. Now I have more-or-less resolved not to obsessively take photos of every tiny creature I see, but the women were in a shop and I was at a loose end, so there we go. I thought it was one I have photographed before anyway, but as it happens, this turns out to be the small dusty wave moth, one I haven’t even heard of.
