I found this little moth at the right, only a couple of centimetres across, on the outside of one of the windows at work. The least carpet moth is an immigrant to the UK, first recorded in London in 1831, but now common in the counties to the east and south of London, and expanding in range.
The little micromoth below was also to be found at the factory. It’s a very unremarkable-looking species, and I may not have included it at all were it not being photobombed by that tiny red spider mite over to the right of the picture. I’m not sure what moth this is – it may be Endothenia ericetana, in which case it is not at all common.
