Towards the end of the day I took the kids rockpooling on Spittal beach near Berwick. There didn’t seem to be much to see in all honesty, especially as Lindisfarne had yielded such wonders just a few miles down the coast. We did find some groovy crabs though, several sea anemones and managed to pry a limpet off the rock with a well-aimed boot.
