We took a ski lift up into the Pentland Hills south of Edinburgh today in the pouring rain. Well why would you not? At least I found a couple of wild flowers that may or may not be fairly unusual, if I ever get round to looking them up. I took the yellow buttercup-like flower because I thought it was 4-petalled; in fact I’m sure a lot of them were. This one is definitely 5-petalled though, and I think it may be that same silverweed whose leaves I photographed on Lindisfarne two days ago.
